The settlement of Blodgett was made in the year 1869 but it was in the year of 1870 when a man named J. Nathan Linton from Cairo, IL., came and "laid out" the "Town of Blodgett".

Of course there is no need to publish the history of Blodgett on these WebPages because much of that history was published just this year in the newsletter of the SCOTT COUNTY HISTORICAL & GENEALOGY SOCIETY.
