Residue of Black's Gin, Morley, MO

This is the residue of the Black's Cotton Gin of Morley. It was located at the corner of Kennett and Goodwin Streets in Morley and was still standing in the the early 1960's. Morley had three other cotton gins. Two more were located on Kennett Street. One was the Coleman Gin (E. P. Coleman) at Kennett and Harding and the other was the Emerson Gin near the railroad property at Kennett and Allen. The fourth gin was the Butler-Foster Gin located at Highway 61 and the Baseline Road. Robert Foster built his first gin when he was 19 years of age. It can be assumed this was it.
