Scott County Historical & Genealogy Society Meeting

The Scott County Historical & Genealogy Society met Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the meeting room of the Riverside Regional Library, 44 N. Winchester St., Benton, MO.
Mr. John C. Fisher spoke on "The 1939 Missouri Bootheel Sharecroppers Strike."
Entire families, including women and children, set up camp along the highways in the frigid and harsh winter weather, sleeping in tattered tents or in the backs of wagon.
