Veteran's Tree in Scott County Courthouse 2018

On November 2, 2018, members of the Scott County Historical and Genealogy Society put up a Veteran's Tree in the Scott County Courthouse in Benton, MO. Everyone was invited to place a photo of a deceased or living Veteran on the tree.

The Scott County Historical and Genealogy Society  received many requests to leave the Veteran's Tree in the lobby of the Scott County Courthouse in Benton, MO up until the end of the year. We  honored their requests. Everyone was invited to display pictures of veterans on the tree. We have received wonderful comments about the tree and that many people had stopped to view the tree. Thank you.

Approximately 115 Veteran's photo were place on the tree.There were photos of Veterans who served in the Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korean, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom.

On January 10, 2019, the Veteran's Tree was taken down.

The Scott County Missouri Historical and Genealogy Society would like to send a big THANK YOU to everyone who placed a Veteran's photo on the tree and would encourage everyone to add their Veteran on our Veteran's Tree in 2019.
